Not a joke, it's real. It turns out EA Sports just loves ending consoles. They had a console ending game for the Playstation (Fifa 05), Gamecube (Madden 08), Xbox (Madden 09), and now the PS2 (if PES 2014 doesn't count. That also came out for the PS2 because EA put FIFA on it).

Also, FIFA 14 has been released on basically everything except the Wii U because EA hates the Wii U ("It can't run Frostbite" Oh shut up EA)

It's still a recycled engine though, so it could look a tiny bit better. I would want to see what it would look like if someone made a brand new engine for it from the ground up to try to make the PS2 look as good as physically possible.

As far as I know the no-release-for-Wii U business isn't due to a lack of processing power but rather poor sales of the console and the games for it. It's a real pity, Most Wanted U sounds fun, if I had someone interested to play it with... In fact the people at Criterion Games like the Wii U.

It seems to me as far as WiiU commercials go that most sports and racing games would be too real and violent for their target audience. Looked like all of their games were rated under "E 10+" and they were bragging about it. They are literally marketing it to little kids.
